We leave the city to travel south for 35 miles (1 hour) for Lake Chapala, from the vehicle we will see the farming areas, Vicente Fernandez residence, Los Tres Potrillos, (The 3 Colts) the smallest horses according the Guinness records. The largest rodeo, charrería arena in Latin America VFG arena, site to the yearly international competitions, concerts and other events.
At Ajijic, we will drive to the American residential colony to see impressive residences, local flora, trees, exotic plants, etc.. Down town Ajijic is full of shops where you can find jewelry, weavings, arts and crafts and other unique souvenirs or you might prefer to explore the main plazas on your own and meet expatriates who are now locals living by the lake in Ajijic.
When you are ready for lunch, you will be conducted to a well recommended restaurant for lunch (not included). When you are ready you will be driven back to Guadalajara.
